Grace, Growth and a Little Holiday Sparkle: What’s Next for the Maricopa Debutante Organization
By Maricopa Lifestyle Staff · October 13, 2026

From monthly mentorship nights to the 3rd Annual Maricopa Debs Got Talent Show on December 11, the Maricopa Debutante Organization is giving local teens the tools, confidence and stage they deserve.
Every young person deserves someone in their corner. For the teens of the Maricopa Debutante Organization (MDO), that corner keeps getting bigger, and this season it comes with movie nights, big dreams and a holiday talent show.
Who They Are
The Maricopa Debutante Organization is a women-owned nonprofit "looking to better the community through youth support in education, career and more," serving families in Maricopa and Casa Grande. Founder Kiana Earley-Palafox started MDO after noticing that "many of our teens were being greatly underserved." Her answer was to build something that meets young people where they are and prepares them for where they're going.
At the center of that work is MDO's Youth Mentorship Program, which covers etiquette training, financial literacy, college preparation, and support for mental health and emotional wellbeing. These are the everyday skills that help a teen walk into an interview, a classroom or a room full of strangers with confidence.
Mentorship Nights Are in Full Swing
MDO's class nights have kept a steady rhythm this fall. Sessions meet from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room C113 at the CAC campus. The group met on September 14, and its next class on October 19 has a festive movie-night theme, just in time for the Halloween season.
Between classes, MDO keeps the conversation going online. Its weekly "Future Me Wednesday" posts invite young people to "take a moment to think about the person you want to become. What qualities do you hope she has? What does she stand for?" It's a simple prompt, but one that plants seeds of purpose all week long.
Mark Your Calendar: Snowflakes & Showstoppers
The biggest news this season is the return of the 3rd Annual Maricopa Debs Got Talent Show, themed "Snowflakes & Showstoppers." The show is set for Friday, December 11, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the CAC Conference Room, and it promises local talent, hot cocoa and pictures with Santa, making it a family-friendly way to kick off the holidays while cheering on our youth.
Young performers interested in taking the stage can find the talent show interest form and sign-up through the QR codes on MDO's event flyer, posted on the MDO Facebook page.
How You Can Get Involved
MDO grows when the community shows up. Families can register through the Join Us form, and neighbors and local businesses can support the mission through the volunteer, sponsor and donation pages on the MDO website. For questions, call (951) 251-2988 or send a message through the organization's Facebook page.
When we invest in our young people, we invest in Maricopa's future. Come out on December 11, bring the family and let our debs show you what they've got.
