Behind the cinnamon and cream is a centuries-old drink that traveled from Valencia, Spain, to Mexico and Central America — and a reminder of how deeply Hispanic and Latino traditions flavor our everyday life here in Maricopa. Province Does It Again

The Province Wine Group hosted its first-ever Merlot & Manuscripts, a Wine & Writers Night Out, on September 25 at Province Town Hall in Maricopa. Local authors, including Joe Vass (writing as Max Cossack) and Yvonne Rose, read from their works, and each reading was paired with a selected wine. Longtime residents and new neighbors filled the room for an evening of good wine, great words, and genuine friendship. It was a warm debut for what we hope becomes a lasting Province tradition.
